Characteristics of the quality of the Trigano Trailer Tents

Trigano has been manufacturing trailer tents and folding campers in France for more than 40 years and markets them under various brands in most of the countries of Europe. In all these years, the company has experimented in all types and styles of trailer tents and launched many new designs. With this experience was born a unique know-how within Europe of designing and manufacturing trailer tents, which is concentrated today in the factory of Mamers, North-West of France. This knowledge is reflected in the quality of the products and a Trigano trailer tent is a product built to last, is practical and comfortable

BUILT TO LAST

A long life expectancy whatever the climate is a priority in the specifications of the design of all our products. We test and then select the materials that we use, according to their lifespan and performance in the real conditions of normal use. (Damp, wet or dry conditions, temperature variations, fog, use at the seaside, etc…) As a result, all Trigano trailer tents are built to last the test of time and are ready to face the most varied weather conditions. They will perform as well whether used in a warm country, in a wet environment or by the sea and it will last you for years.

For the canvas: only the best
The canvas is a very important part of a trailer tent. For that reason, we use only top-of-the-range textiles - this differentiates our products greatly from many of our competitors.
The roof and the walls of our trailer tents are made out of cotton, a natural, hard wearing and breathable fabric, which guarantees the strength of the canvas and acts to limit condensation. Under the awning, the atmosphere is pleasant, well ventilated and moderate. There is no feeling of suffocation, you will perspire less and sleep better.
We use exclusively high quality cottons. The roofs are made out of cotton of 340 g/m2 and the walls in 280 g/m2. Colours are not affected by moisture nor the test of time. All our cottons are waterproofed rot proof (they do not degrade in humid conditions) and are treated to limit the development of moulds.

All stitching is lock stitched
All our stitching is made using a lock stitch. This process takes more time, but the stitching is particularly resistant to the usual wear and tear of modern camping and if a thread does break, the stitching does not unravel.

Strong and stable trailer
Even if the trailer is always one of the most solid parts of a trailer tent, various qualities of materials exist (Heavier or lighter, stronger or weaker, etc), which influence the quality of the unit and its lifespan. For the majority of our products, we’ve chosen the best PVC. This material is ideal as it is light, extremely solid, very easy to clean, and of course it never rusts. For certain models, like the Galleon, we use coated steel with an anti-corrosion treatment. The frames of the trailers are made out of zinc-coated steel, and are covered with a colourless varnish: no risks of rust. Reinforcements in the angles ensure the strength of the brackets.

THE PRATICAL ASPECTS

Our 30 years of experience has enabled us to equip our trailer tents and folding campers with features and details that will make your life easier.

Braked Trailer
An option or as standard, according to the models and the countries, the braked trailer accompanies the braking of the car and brings an additional safety during the towing of the trailer tent, notably when towing downhill. Braking is particularly useful when the trailer tent is towed by a light car: the trailer being rather heavy compared to the weight of the car, it can reduce the efficiency of the vehicle braking if the trailer unit has no brakes.

Wipe clean base panel
The bottoms of the walls are made in coated fabric of 350 g / m2, and not in cotton. The coated cloth is cleaned in an instant with a little water, and your caravan remains clean and beautiful whatever the weather.

External Mud wall
The external mud wall, is very practical in wind and rain. When it is raining the rainwater slides along the cloth and is then led by the mud wall approximately 20 cm behind the tent pegs. The ground under the canopy does not soften, tent pegs do not move and the roof of your trailer tent remains taut and stable.

Water resistant zips
Often double ended to allow you to open your wall panels as you wish , water resistant covers prevent water entering the trailer tent.

A stable unit whatever the pitch
All the Trigano Trailer Tents are equipped as standard with 4 wind down corner steadies which make it possible to level the trailer tent. It is easy to level the unit, even on irregular ground.

The kitchen area
All our models are equipped with a kitchen area with a mosquito net covered by an opaque window cover. On certain models, the kitchen area extends outwards from the side of the awning; this layout can also provide additional wardrobe and toilet areas. These kitchen areas have a removable PVC roof liner situated above the cooker to protect the roof canvas. This roof liner is removable and is very easy to clean.

Guying points
Our trailer tents are equipped with guying points on the canvas and delivered with guy lines. You can easily guy the trailer tent to make the unit more stable.

Spare wheel
Optional equipment, the spare wheel is fixed under the unit and is easily accessible.

THE COMFORT

The comfort of our trailer tents has evolved constantly over 30 years. A few years ago, we introduced slatted beds and in 2008, most of the kitchens were fitted with running water systems. Here’s a short description of the equipment which you will find on our trailer tents – however, the best option is to go to your nearest Trigano dealer and make up your own mind!

Quality bedding
All the year, at home, you can appreciate the comfort of a good mattress and a slatted bed. It is not necessary to give it up during your holidays. Most of the beds are at least 1,40 metres broad and 2 metres long. They are equipped with polyurethane foam mattresses and slatted bases, a set up which guarantees you a good nights sleep.

The isothermal effect
The majority of our trailer tents are delivered with an internal roof liner. This stores a pocket of air under the roof, which regulates the temperature in the whole tent: it prevents too fast cooling at night and maintains a cooler environment in the sun.

A practical and safe kitchen
The majority of our trailer tents are deliverable with a kitchen located at the back of the trailer. The kitchen gives extra storage and comes with a sink that since 2008, has a cold running water system (except the Galleon). The gas cooker has three control valves equipped with flame failure devices. If the flame is blown out, the gas supply will be turned off.

Storage and toilet facilities
AAll Trigano trailer tents are equipped with bench seat lockers, which provide extra storage and storage pockets in the walls. Some units have a toilet and wardrobe area within the trailer tent awning.

Practical windows
To ease sleep no matter what the conditions, all our windows are equipped with mosquito nets and with opaque or obscuring flaps. On certain models, windows are also equipped with clear windows, and external window flaps, which maintain airflow, whilst preventing wind and rainwater from entering the unit.
